Job description

Role: Data Architect / Data Modeller
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Stevenage – Hybrid 2 days per week.
Rate: Market Rates (Inside IR35)

Responsibilities:

1. Producing conceptual, logical, and physical data models to build fit for purpose data products using Data Mesh/Data Fabric architectures on Target platforms.
2. Building data architecture spanning different business areas and drawing links between problems to build common solutions.
3. Building, maintaining and governing data modelling principles, standards, and the execution of the enterprise ontologies.
4. Work with business and application/solution teams to define/implement data strategies to support key business initiatives.
5. Collaborating with different business areas to ensure consistent application of data standards including metadata and data quality to enable data governance across workstreams.
6. Providing leadership to team members to help others get the job done right.

Skills Required:

1. Experience of Data Modelling, Metadata Management & Data Governance.
2. Hands-on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience (using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols).
3. Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms.
4. Data Platforms and Domain-driven design.
5. Data Fabric/Data Mesh Architecture Designs.
6. Demonstrated skill in delivering high-quality Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models.
7. Knowledge of industry standards and technology platforms.
8. Deep understanding of Pharma Research and CMC processes.
9. Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
10. Familiarity with data modelling software such as Erwin DM, ER Studio etc. is a must.
