We are currently seeking a Salesforce Business Analyst to support our expanding Salesforce practice, working on transformative projects across industries such as retail, energy, financial services, and healthcare.

Role Overview:

As a Salesforce Business Analyst at VE3, you will be responsible for designing, governing, and optimising the data architecture that underpins complex data-driven solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure high standards of data modelling, quality, governance, integration, and analytics delivery. The role demands a strategic mindset, hands-on experience, and a strong grasp of data standards, frameworks, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Design and implement enterprise-level data architecture strategies, frameworks, and standards.
  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support both operational and analytical systems.
  • Define and enforce best practices in data modelling (e.g., star schema, snowflake, graph, relational and non-relational structures).
  • Lead the integration of structured and unstructured data across multiple sources, ensuring consistency, integrity, and quality.
  • Ensure all solutions align with data governance, data lifecycle management, security, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
  • Capture and translate business rules into technical data flows and models.
  • Support data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives by architecting scalable and performance-oriented data platforms.
  • Define and manage data dictionaries, metadata repositories, data lineage documentation, and version-controlled models.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, architects, and stakeholders to identify data requirements and ensure architecture evolves with business needs.
  • Lead data quality assessments and recommend remediation strategies as needed.
  • Provide architectural input into project planning, solution design, and implementation.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proven hands-on experience across all facets of data architecture, including modelling, governance, quality, security, and analytics.
  • Strong command of data modelling tools and techniques (e.g., ER/Studio, Erwin, SQL DBs, NoSQL DBs).
  • Expertise in data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud data ecosystems (Azure, AWS, Oracle, etc.).
  • Familiarity with metadata management and data cataloguing tools.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DAMA-DMBOK).
  • Solid understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., UK GDPR) and industry compliance standards.
  • Experience with BI platforms such as Power BI, Oracle OAC, or Tableau.
  • Ability to articulate complex data structures and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience working within agile product delivery teams.
  • Previous experience working across utilities, infrastructure, or public sector domains is advantageous.
