Job description
We are looking for a Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge Azure cloud native solutions, modernising legacy systems while ensuring data security, scalability, and innovation. Your ability to understand evolving business needs and translate them into a robust data architecture strategy will be vital to the success of our transformation efforts.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of existing business legacy systems and define migration paths to Azure cloud native solutions.
- Ensure all future systems are designed with security embedded to meet regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Triage and interpret business needs and new requirements, translating them into a strategic data architecture that supports evolving reporting and analytics needs.
- Define and understand relationships between all data sources, acting as the gatekeeper for the impact of future or proposed changes.
- Experience of migrating systems/data platforms from on-premise data centres to public cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud services, including data storage, data catalogues/lineage, ETL processes, and pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and landing.
- Expertise in Python and SQL for data processing, with a strong understanding of implementing DevOps practices and SRE principles.
