Job description
This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the 'ECT Family' this includes current East Cheshire NHS Trust employees, bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from applicants not listed within these groups.

The Data and Analytics Project Support Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of key data and analytics projects.


Working closely with the Data and Analytics department, the post holder will coordinate project activities, manage timelines, and facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Main duties of the job


In addition to project management duties, the role will provide essential administrative support, including diary management and organising meetings and workshops, enabling senior team members to focus on strategic priorities.


The Project Support Officer will also assist with financial management, and participate in quality assurance and change management processes. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who is highly organised and enjoys working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, with the ability to support the continuous improvement of data and analytics functions.


The post holder will:

  1. Contribute to the planning, co-ordination and production of project plans to meet the trust's vision, objectives and priorities.
  2. Provide admin support and diary management for the data and analytics department.
  3. Provide project management support to the data and analytics department.
  4. Proactively liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure outcomes are achieved.

Knowledge


Essential


  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications, NHS information systems, data collection research and analysis.
  • Project management methodology.
  • An understanding of the requirements of the data and analytics function, and awareness of national policies regarding data and reporting.

Desirable


  • NHS Change Model.

Qualifications


Essential


  • Degree or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.

Desirable


  • PRINCE II Practitioner or equivalent.

Skills


Essential


  • Ability to manage multiple/diverse complex tasks requiring analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prepare and produce concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to senior stakeholders and a broad range of stakeholders as required.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage demanding workloads, working to tight and often changing timescales.
  • Good expertise in Project Management methods and tools.
  • Proven ability to effectively use recommended document management techniques and manage information repositories such as SharePoint.
  • Skilled in the use of Atlassian Confluence for supporting collaboration and technical documentation.
  • Skilled in the use of Atlassian JIRA for managing IT related projects.
  • Able to work with clinicians and non-clinicians face to face and on the phone.

  • Skilled in the use of SBS.
  • Skilled in the use of ESR.

Experience


Essential


  • Experience in project management working.
  • Experience of supporting trust-wide, large-scale IT projects.
  • Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams.
