As part of the data team within the Threat Intelligence and Counter Fraud team, you’ll be a key driver in enhancing One Login’s ability to find and prevent fraud.
You’ll focus on using event-level data from a range of sources and turning it into actionable insights and outcomes. You’ll be proactive and work effectively as part of a team while also building relationships with people from across the programme in a variety of disciplines. You’ll communicate progress and your findings through effective storytelling and data visualisation.
As a Data Analyst - Fraud you’ll:
- build and maintain the fraud monitoring, using analysis and insights to optimise our alerting and rules
- design and build data products for different stakeholders to enhance how they work - for example, interactive tooling to improve proactive monitoring or making investigations easier
- derive insights through analysis and share them with stakeholders, e.g., new fraud trends or about performance of the One Login fraud tooling
- measure and assess outcomes, for example, 'what success looks like', developing hypotheses and measurement frameworks - at both a strategic level and for fraud tooling components
- communicate findings and provide recommendations to a range of stakeholders in understandable and engaging ways - such as show and tells, dashboards, and other data visualisation methods
- develop an understanding of the data across the product, including data flows and relevant retention periods, to provide data requirements to the wider programme to ensure the fraud team can respond to any new threats
- remain alert to emerging fraud issues and trends, especially through working with other parts of the fraud function, to continually improve the data products we own
Person specification
We’re interested in people who have:
- experience in data analysis using data from a complex product environment
- experience conducting data analysis with database-type data, e.g., using SQL
- experience in using data visualisation techniques and tools
- ability to provide insight and translate data in a clear and concise manner
- experience of discovering and sharing analytical insight with stakeholders at all levels of seniority, with varying levels of analytical capability
- experience of gathering and understanding data requirements, and working with stakeholders to build suitable technical solutions
- ability to take a strategic view of data across a whole product and programme, and understand dependencies, as well as privacy and security viewpoints
