The main responsibilities of the role:
  1. Electronic Trading & Data:
    1. Contribute to trading automation projects on FX, Fixed Income and Equity asset classes. Interact with traders and data scientists to establish optimal criteria for auto-execution.
    2. Interact with Global Markets Coordination team to understand trading platform configurations, implement tables in our database to monitor auto-execution criteria.
    3. Build and provide reports/presentations/analytics required by top management to summarize auto-execution activity clearly and precisely.
  2. Data engineering:
    1. Become a stakeholder of the global data process to enhance our data structure and optimise queries.
    2. Perform checks and ensure reliability of the data in our golden sources.
    3. Focus on FX, Equity & Fixed Income datasets, understand their structure and take ownership of certain Tableau reports.
    4. Help improve the overall data pipelines for reporting and machine learning project purposes.
  3. High Touch Trading data:
    1. For each asset class, understand and work on how are measured the key performance metrics in execution.
    2. Use these metrics to help rationalize reports and get alerts when we have data quality issues (Tableau).
    3. Create flexible tools (using Python or Tableau) to make these models accessible and integrated in our trading workflow.

As an intern, you’ll be immersed in a financial environment and learn about asset management and trading. You’ll gain experience in working first-hand with data scientists and traders to analyse and illustrate the trading data to solve business problems.

Education/Qualifications
  1. Having or pursuing a master’s degree in finance, data engineering, or other relevant subject.
Experience
  1. Prior experience in data manipulation and ETL pipelines with SQL, and experience in dataviz tools are a plus.
Knowledge and Skills
  1. Strong ETL pipeline skills: SQL, python, pyspark, databricks knowledge.
  2. Appetite for clean data visualisations and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI.
  3. Strong numerical and analytical background.
  4. Interest for finance and data.
  5. Ability to produce clear, structured, and production-ready code.
