Data Analyst

6 month FTC

Remote role with occasional travel to the Bristol Support Centre

The Role

As a Data Analyst at Bupa Dental Care, you’ll be a key part of the Data & Analytics team, and will work closely with a multitude of stakeholders across the Bupa business. You will play a pivotal role building on what we have to make us more proactive as well as driving data synergies between our Dental and Bupa Insurance portfolios, enabling our product and marketing teams to achieve the ambitious business targets over the next five years.

Responsibilities

  1. Support the Data Manager on requirements/requests pertaining to our data quality/integrity and our data strategy.
  2. Understand where and what data we currently hold with business strategy in mind to develop a gap analysis and plan to address.
  3. Work with owners of source systems to improve and maintain the validity of data collated, whilst also addressing inconsistencies.
  4. Understand the main areas of concern/opportunity by working with different areas of the business to develop reporting and analytics that can drive actionable steps and improved decisioning.
  5. Create reports in a digestible format with regular input to Senior Management.
  6. Work with colleagues in MU to support our strategic ambitions.
  7. Competency at not just creating reports but extracting the key messages from the data.
  8. Able to work across multiple data sets to tell a story.
  9. Ability to overlay external market factors to our own data to support decisioning.
  10. Create clear, concise reports and data dashboards for various departments highlighting key trends and insights.
  11. Be prepared to occasionally travel to practices to build relationships with the Practice Managers and other staff and really get into the detail of how we can support them from a data point of view to reduce workloads/administration and improve efficiencies and patient experience.

What we're looking for

  • Demonstratable experience of working in a previous data orientated role.
  • High data literacy with experience of working with behavioral and experience data beneficial as well as the more conventional forms.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience of working with B2C and B2B data.
  • A solid understanding of data requirements for digital capability.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and who can turn complex analytics into digestible outputs.
  • Proactive and results driven.
  • Commercial thinker.
  • High attention to detail.
