Arriva Rail London is an industry-leading train operating company, responsible for running the London Overground network under a Concession Agreement with Transport for London (TfL) and is part of the Arriva group.

An exciting new, entry-level opportunity has arisen within the data space with Arriva Rail London; we are on the hunt for a new Data Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities:

1. Data analysis and visualisation – finding new ways to tell stories with and provide insight from our existing data sources, to help the business make better decisions.
2. Solving business challenges using data – project work to solve issues in the business using data and making changes to processes, systems, and skills to embed data-driven decision-making.
3. Identify root causes of adverse performance, looking for patterns, trends, and anomalies in data. Working with different areas of the team to provide analytical support and assist with projects.
4. Supporting and helping shape the delivery of our data strategy – this strategy focuses on the build-out of our data warehouse, the improvement of processes around data, and improvement of the data skills of colleagues.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of a 2:1 degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
2. Experience of using a Business Intelligence platform is desired.
3. To be ambitious – constantly question the norm and provide new ideas.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage at all levels internally and externally.
5. The right to work within the UK – Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any sponsorship.
