The Role

Cox Automotive Europe is leading the digital transformation of the automotive industry, empowering dealers, OEMs, and buyers with cutting-edge tools that redefine how vehicles are managed, traded, and optimised. Our pan-European programme includes a groundbreaking Decision Engine, an AI-driven platform that turns complex data into actionable insights, enabling smarter decisions across inventory, pricing, and supply chains. Join us to shape the future of automotive intelligence.

Scope of Role:

As Data Analyst, you’ll be the eyes and ears of our programme, uncovering insights from diverse datasets (marketplace transactions, Salesforce CRM, inventory systems, and third-party sources) to drive decision-making. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify trends, monitor KPIs, and ensure data integrity across the platform. This role is ideal for a curious problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to impact every facet of automotive innovation.

Within the organisation, you’ll work with multiple stakeholders across the wider international business as well as Sales, Operations, Customer Support, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Senior Business Leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyse data across stock, pricing, channels, and location to identify optimisation opportunities (e.g., “Why do EVs in Spain sell 20% slower?”).
  2. Build dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) to track KPIs like stock turnover, pricing accuracy, and regional sales performance.
  3. Support the Desirability Index initiative by validating data inputs and refining scoring algorithms.
  4. Extract and transform Salesforce data (e.g., customer onboarding timelines, payment histories) to identify bottlenecks.
  5. Partner with engineers to ensure seamless data flows between Salesforce, ERP systems, and the marketplace platform.
  6. Work with Product Managers to A/B test new features (e.g., dynamic pricing rules) and measure impact.
  7. Provide Finance Teams with actionable reports on payment success rates, invoice discrepancies, and revenue trends.
  8. Support Marketing with segmentation analysis to target high-value buyers/dealers.
  9. Monitor data pipelines for anomalies (e.g., missing inventory records, mismatched pricing).
  10. Document data dictionaries and ensure GDPR compliance in reporting.
  11. Advocate for data literacy across teams through workshops and training.
  12. Regionalise insights to address market-specific challenges (e.g., France’s aging stock vs. Germany’s EV demand).
  13. Analyse cross-border trends (e.g., “How do fuel price fluctuations impact used diesel sales in Italy?”).

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • 3+ years as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst, preferably in B2B, automotive, or marketplace platforms.
  • Expertise in SQL, Python/R for data manipulation, and visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with Salesforce data models and CRM analytics.
  • Strong storytelling skills: Ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with GDPR and data governance best practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and big data tools (Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Experience with pricing optimisation, inventory management, or supply chain analytics.
  • Certification in Power BI, Tableau, or Salesforce Analytics.
  • Fluency in German, French, or Spanish.
