Data Analyst
Due to rapid growth plans for the business, we are looking to recruit an experienced Data Analyst to:
- Work closely with senior management and line managers to develop insightful reports and key performance indicators.
- Work with clients to integrate and reconcile client-supplied data against internal datasets, and develop client-facing reports to support account management activity.
- Work with third-party service providers to ensure consistency of data within internal and external systems.
- Develop and implement automated ETL and data exchange mechanisms to minimise manual activity and improve accuracy of reporting.
- Review the current portfolio of reports and migrate to Power BI where required.
- Work with internal stakeholders to establish a rigorous process for reviewing report content prior to publication.
- Undertake ad-hoc data analysis as required to support internal and/or client requests.
Essential skills and attributes
- Previous experience in Data Analysis.
- Adept and competent in presenting data.
- Experience of interacting with clients on a regular basis.
- Good tactical knowledge of SQL Server and Power BI including data modelling and report customisation.
- Proven experience in developing and managing Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of data storage solutions and data governance best practices.
Useful, not essential:
- Previous experience with Crystal reports.
- Previous experience with INFOR Visual.
The successful candidate will be based within commutable distance from Birmingham - and in the initial stages will need to be based 5 days per week in the office.
