Data Analyst

Due to rapid growth plans for the business, we are looking to recruit an experienced Data Analyst to:

1. Work closely with senior management and line managers to develop insightful reports and key performance indicators.
2. Work with clients to integrate and reconcile client-supplied data against internal datasets, and develop client-facing reports to support account management activity.
3. Work with third-party service providers to ensure consistency of data within internal and external systems.
4. Develop and implement automated ETL and data exchange mechanisms to minimise manual activity and improve accuracy of reporting.
5. Review the current portfolio of reports and migrate to Power BI where required.
6. Work with internal stakeholders to establish a rigorous process for reviewing report content prior to publication.
7. Undertake ad-hoc data analysis as required to support internal and/or client requests.

Essential skills and attributes

1. Previous experience in Data Analysis.
2. Adept and competent in presenting data.
3. Experience of interacting with clients on a regular basis.
4. Good tactical knowledge of SQL Server and Power BI including data modelling and report customisation.
5. Proven experience in developing and managing Power BI reports and dashboards.
6. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Knowledge of data storage solutions and data governance best practices.

Useful, not essential:

1. Previous experience with Crystal reports.
2. Previous experience with INFOR Visual.

The successful candidate will be based within commutable distance from Birmingham - and in the initial stages will need to be based 5 days per week in the office.
