Salary: GBP35000 - GBP45000 per annum + On farm, 3 bed accommodation

The Company:
A family run successful dairy farm moving to robotic milking in early 2025, managing a pedigree Holstein herd based in Scotland.

The Job Role:
Your role will be focused on the day-to-day management of the herd, occasional milking, as well as animal welfare, breeding decisions, A.I., and calving of the herd. You will be responsible for ensuring a first-class service with 3 x a day occasional milking with the future use of robotic milking planned for early 2025.

Location:
East Scotland

Salary Package:
Between £35,000 - £45,000 Basic Salary
+ On farm, 3-bedroom accommodation to suit a family

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Day to day running of the herd and young stock
  2. Responsible for breeding / health decisions
  3. A.I. and foot trimming

Candidate Skills and Experience:
Proven experience of dairy herd management

  • Able to work as a team
  • A.I. and foot trimming qualifications
  • Familiar with herd management software (Ideally Uniform and Sense hub)
  • Experience of robotic milking machines highly desirable

Other:
Ability to work flexible hours when required
Hold a valid UK driving licence
