Dairy assistant on a Robotic Dairy Farm in Berkshire

An exciting opportunity has risen on a progressive dairy farm on the outskirts of Reading, milking 250 cows through 5 robots.

No rush and stress-free environment as robotic cows are so relaxed.

We are looking to recruit a dairy assistant to join our small team of 3.

Within the role, there would be a range of responsibilities varying from calf rearing, scraping, robot/cow work, and general dairy farm jobs.

For the right person, they can take on responsibilities and learn skills on the job.

Job role:

• Scraping
• Robotic maintenance
• Tractor driving
• Feeding
• General dairy farm tasks

Skills:

• Passionate and enthusiastic to achieve high standards
• Able to communicate and work well within a team in a fun/relaxed no rush environment
• Able to work well with stock
• Computer skills and a technical mind to work with robots (all training given)
• Telehandler & AI experience (beneficial but not essential)
