This is a Fixed term deployment support post within a close-knit team providing IT support to the Trust's clients and their IT equipment, which reside on the network or as standalone devices. This includes installation, fault diagnosis and rectification, and administration of associated processes.
The deployment team is a close-knit team of nine working towards providing the best customer experience we can whilst supporting each other in our daily endeavours.
Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.
Operating within a close-knit team, the D&I Deployment Engineers play an important role in ensuring effective deployment of IT equipment in support of the Trust's Digital strategy. Engineers deploy assets in support of the rolling replacement programme, digital projects, and business as usual requests. These assets are used by end users in clinical and operational settings. You will be involved in full cycle logistic and request processes from provisioning IT kit, deployment, configuration through to managing disposal processes. Deployment Engineers also get involved with fault diagnosis, rectification and administration. The role requires great customer service skills and an ability to update and modify records accurately. The Deployment team is a vital cog within the wide D&I service, and development of the digital agenda would be impossible without their support.
