The Role
Are you passionate about cyber security and looking to develop your career in a dynamic environment? VPI is seeking a Cyber Security Operations Analyst with early-stage career experience to join our central cyber security team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad stakeholder base within the UK and Europe, contributing to essential cyber risk management and operational security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
As a Cyber Security Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting risk analysis, security policy implementation, and the Secure by Design framework across Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT). You will contribute to:

1. Risk Management: Conduct risk analysis and interpret first-line operational outputs to support VPI's overall cyber security risk posture.
2. Operational Security: Assist in incident response testing, data management, and coordination of cyber security with physical and personnel security teams.
3. Human Risk Management: Develop cyber security awareness materials, manage phishing protection programmes, and handle external threat intelligence.
4. Software Development & Cloud Security: Support the integration of security policies into DevOps processes and cloud-based tools.
5. Business & Change Management: Contribute to risk mitigation strategies for business development and internal change projects.
6. Incident Response: Act as a responder within VPI's cyber security incident framework.

What we're looking for
We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have:
Essential Skills & Experience:

1. 1-2 years of experience in a cyber security-related role.
2. Educational or workplace experience in cyber security operations.
3. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
4. Experience in change management activities.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Foundation or Fundamentals level Cyber Security certifications or badges.
2. Educated to HND/Degree level in a relevant field.
3. Understanding of technology principles within the energy sector (not essential but beneficial).
