Job description

We are AMS. We are a global total workforce solutions firm; we enable organisations to thrive in an age of constant change by building, re–shaping, and optimising workforces. Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) is one of our service offerings; we act as an extension of our clients' recruitment team and provide professional interim and temporary resources.

We are currently working with our client, Royal London.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer (PAM/CrowdStrike) for a 6 month contract based in Edinburgh/Alderley Park (Manchester) on a hybrid basis (2/3 times per week in the office).

Royal London is a financial services company with a difference. As the UK's largest mutual life, pensions and investment company, we're owned by our members and work for their benefit, not for shareholder profits. We've grown rapidly and have been recognised as one of the UK's top rated places to work.

Today, Royal London has over GBP114 billion of funds under management, and around 3,500 employees working in six offices across the UK and Ireland. We've worked hard to become experts in our specialist markets, building a trusted brand – and our teams have plenty of awards to show for it. Whatever team you're interested in joining and whatever role you play, we'll help you to make a difference.

Purpose of the Role:

As Cyber Security Engineer (PAM/CrowdStrike), you are going to join the Royal London security and resilience team within the CISO office. You will enhance Royal London capabilities in combating the ever–evolving cyber threat landscape, playing a crucial part in maintaining the security infrastructure.

As Cyber Security Engineer (PAM/CrowdStrike), you will be responsible for:

  • Providing 2nd line support for cyber technologies, ensuring robust technical controls to protect the organization from threats.
  • Resolving incidents and requests related to cyber technologies within agreed SLAs.
  • Maintaining system uptime and availability, ensuring no unplanned outages due to cyber technologies.
  • Supporting junior team members and Cyber Engineers in identifying opportunities to enhance controls.
  • Maintaining disaster recovery procedures and providing technical support for disaster recovery tests.
  • Producing and maintaining technical documentation related to security technologies.
  • Working as a technical resource on initiatives to implement new cybersecurity controls.

What we require from Cyber Security Engineer (PAM/CrowdStrike):

  • Hands–on experience with cyber security platforms, including CloudStrike EDR or CloudStrike IDP, Identity & Data Management and Network Security technologies.
  • Proven Checkpoint Firewall/Threat Prevention experience.
  • Experience in Privileged Access Management (PAM) in Delinea (formerly Thycotic Secret Server) or CyberArk.
  • Demonstrated Web Application Firewall experience.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience working within a regulated environment in the financial services industry.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview.
  • Imperva DAM experience.

Next Steps:

This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella/PAYE engagement model.
