Job description

Due to the environment and nature of the work, the possession of a current UK Security Clearance is essential for this position.

A new role has arisen to work with a major international Defence Contractor on a high-profile MoD programme in Hampshire for a security cleared Cyber Security Architect.

The Senior Security Architect will play a key role in leading the implementation and assurance on a key defence project.

The Role

Focused on an MoD programme, the Cyber Security Architect will be tasked with ensuring that relevant designs meet functional and non-functional security requirements of relevant standards (eg. MoD, NCSC, NIST).

You will liaise with internal stakeholders in Solutions Architecture and Engineering, as well as external stakeholders, to outline security designs and strategies within the context of customer requirements, legislation and assurance standards.

Your skills will be applied to secure on-premise solutions and cloud technologies. You will develop both high- and low-level security designs for relevant systems and conduct, document and communicate risk assessments and results.

Skills Required

1. Excellent communication skills
2. AWS
3. Security Architecture experience
4. Application of protective security controls
5. Ability to produce high- and low-level designs
6. Knowledge of Cloud and On-premise systems
7. In depth understanding of risk in a cyber context
8. SABSA / CISSP (beneficial but not essential)
