Work location: Nottingham or Sheffield (Hybrid) Remote but connected

Salary banding: £26,500

Must be eligible for SC Clearance (Must have been a UK resident for the last 5 years).

Shiftpattern: Working 12-hour shifts on 4 days on and 4 days off 4 nights on and 4 nights off rotation.

The role and what you’ll be getting up to on a day to day basis:

Littlefish is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to come and join our growing Cyber division. As our Cyber Security Analyst, you will work within our Cyber Security Operations to monitor customer infrastructure for potential threats. You will undertake timely investigations of and respond to security alerts to identify security incidents and take action to appropriately contain threats.

What are we looking for in the successful candidate?

  • Experience working in an IT outsource environment
  • Previous experience within a 1st or 2nd line IT service desk or similar technical role.
  • Basic understanding of security threats and compromise methods
  • Understanding of server, client and network technologies
  • Understanding of security incidents, including malware, network reconnaissance and emerging threats
  • Understanding of vulnerability assessment and remediation procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills, clear logical thinking, and good judgement
  • An understanding understanding of KQL
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Defender Suite

Education/Qualifications

  • CompTIA security + or equivalent
  • SC-200 Microsoft Security Operations Analyst

Experience

  • Experience in responding to cyber security threats
  • Experience in the use of antivirus technologies
  • Experience in Endpoint Detection & Response solutions
  • Experience in the use of SIEM platforms

Skills / Knowledge

  • Vulnerability Awareness/Understanding
  • HMG Security Standards and Processes
  • Delivery of the appropriate balance between business need, technical perfection and security standards.
