Responsibilities:
  • The key purpose of the role is to develop and maintain internal policies, processes and standards required to operate in accordance with the legislation and company expectations, ensuring in-time execution of quality complaints, customs procedures and being in-line with environmental changes and audits.
  • Plays a crucial role in ensuring that the organization’s products and services meet all necessary standards and regulations.
  • Work with customs brokers and logistics partners to ensure smooth clearance of shipments.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of processes identifying all deviations from Global standards, Company compliance and legislation.
  • Develop and implement updated customs process where applicable.
  • Provide training and support to staff on customs compliance, creating specific and accurate instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with all Customs and Foreign Trade legislation and regulations applicable to the business.
  • Leading quality audits, reporting results and taking actions to minimise further issues – ISO9001, Packaging Waste, Plastic tax.
  • Leading business internal and external compliance and audits reporting results and taking required actions to minimise deviations. Prepare and represent the business for internal and external customs audits.
  • Assure quality of our products and services by managing, investigating, reporting and developing corresponding improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Previous proven experience in a similar role being responsible for compliance, quality, audit and customs areas.
  • Knowledge of upcoming legislative changes: environment, packaging waste, plastic tax etc.
  • Knowledge of Customs legislation.
  • Experience in developing and implementing updated customs processes and controls.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and achieve full compliance in a constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and competence to produce professional standard reports.
