Shift patterns: Nights / third shifts 6pm - 6am week 1 Sun, wed, Thursday week 2 -Mon Tues fri, sat

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Customs Administrator to play a vital role providing administrative support to the team and delivering excellent customer service.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

  • Providing customers with the clearance required to move stock between borders
  • Liaising with internal and external parties to transfer key documents and data for movement
  • Answering all queries from customers when required
  • Informing relevant parties of any issues with customs/DAERA
  • Ensuring shipments are cleared and processed to move in time, ahead of planned sailings
  • Utilizing different software applications for efficiency, primarily Microsoft Office

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Fluent English essential
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems essential
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint essential
  • Experience in a customs function is desirable
  • Knowledge of end-to-end customs process is an advantage
  • Logistics experience is desirable
  • Broad understanding of the logistics and Supply Chain industry within Ireland is desirable
