Customer Service Manager
Location: Mildenhall, Suffolk
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum
Benefits: 26 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, health cash plan and death in service cover - 3x annual salary
Duration: This is an 18-month maternity cover with potential for something permanent for the right person.

Are you a confident, proactive leader with a strong background in customer service and complaints handling? We are looking for a friendly and capable Customer Service Manager to lead both the customer service and sales administration teams. You will be hands-on supporting the sales administration function while overseeing team performance and development. A key part of the role is dealing with customer complaints and investigations, so attention to detail and a calm approach are a must.

Job Duties:
  1. Managing the sales inbox and ensuring that all orders are processed in a timely manner
  2. Managing a team of 4 and providing 1 to 1 support
  3. Investigating customer complaints
  4. Ensure that all orders have the appropriate paperwork
  5. Liaising with Design team regarding special orders
  6. Continue developing sales standards and implement needed training
  7. Tracking enquiry levels and producing reports
  8. Provide KPI's (key performance data)
  9. Promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the business
  10. Leading and managing the team
  11. Assist with recruitment and selection throughout the department
  12. Completing inductions and onboarding
  13. Completing appraisals and general staff support
What we are looking for:
  1. Previous management experience within Customer Service or Sales Teams
  2. A positive 'can do' and friendly attitude and be adaptable, motivated, and well-organised
  3. Excellent communication skills
  4. Good attention to detail and be able to prioritise effectively
  5. Have a proactive continuous improvement mindset
  6. Proven ability to coach and support colleagues across the business
  7. An enthusiastic engaged attitude
