Qualifications

Job description

Due to growth and a recent large client win, we're looking for an experienced and confident Customer Service Executive to join our team in Long Eaton. You'll play an important part in keeping our customer service levels running to a high standard and dealing with any issues in a timely fashion.

BASIC SALARY: Up to £28,000

LOCATION: This is predominantly an office based role in Long Eaton.

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, Long Eaton, Coalville, Loughborough, Castle Donington, Mansfield, Newark-on-Trent, Grantham, Melton Mowbray

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to our Customer Service Manager, you'll play a pivotal part in supporting the business, to ensure the smooth resolution of customer issues or delays, as well as ensuring the timely processing of customer orders and issuing of acknowledgement.

Day to day, you will:

  1. Action and resolve service complaints for customers
  2. Respond to verbal and written sales and delivery queries
  3. Process customer orders / service orders
  4. Appoint 3rd party repair companies
  5. Process and order swatch requests
  6. Negotiate allowances and goodwill gestures with customers
  7. Dispatch and manage stock levels of service parts
  8. Update spreadsheets and databases as required
  9. Provide feedback to the Customer Service Manager and Managing Director on patterns of service complaints and trends
  10. Assist with the recharge of service costs to suppliers

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Ideally, you'll have previous experience within the Furniture, Fabrics or Textiles industries, but that isn't a deal breaker. If you have had experience of working in a manufacturer and/or any exposure to an international supply chain, that would be great. Ultimately, we will consider a variation of customer service backgrounds, and the right person is crucial to our business, so we are happy to train you on the particulars.

What's most important to us is:

  1. Being proficient with Microsoft Excel and Access and exposure to GoogleSheets.
  2. You have a desire to get the job done and work as part of our small but passionate team.
  3. You'll have a can-do attitude and take on any task to ensure we reach our objectives.
  4. A desire to improve on and continuously shape existing processes.
  5. Having a confidence to take initiative and manage stakeholders at all levels.
  6. Having excellent written and verbal communication to de-escalate and pacify customers who have complaints.

THE COMPANY:

We are a design house, importer and wholesaler of furniture to the UK market. Operating for over 20 years, we supply furniture to some of the most respected retail brands in the UK, as well as the independent furniture retail sector. We are currently on a journey of growth making several hires over the past 6 months and having recently won a large well known client, we need to add to our growing team again!
