Job Description:

One of the UK’s leading 5-star housebuilders, known for delivering high-quality homes across the country, is looking for a Customer Care Maintenance Operative/Technician to join their North West team.

With a strong reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction, they focus on building well-designed, sustainable communities.

Focusing on delivering exceptional post-purchase support to homeowners within the North West region, you’ll visit customers' new homes to rectify reported defects, at the instruction of the office-based coordination team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct inspections and perform maintenance tasks on newly occupied homes, ensuring all work meets the highest quality standards.
  2. Address and resolve reported defects promptly, maintaining clear communication with homeowners throughout the process.
  3. Coordinate with the Customer Care Team to ensure all necessary resources are available prior to appointments.
  4. Maintain accurate records of completed tasks and escalate any unresolved issues as needed.
  5. Uphold health and safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to property protection requirements.

Experience and Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in a multi-trade role, with skills in basic plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and decorating.
  2. Preferably experienced in the new build housing industry.
  3. Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to various maintenance challenges.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  5. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
  6. Possession of a valid UK driving licence.

Working Conditions:

  1. The role involves both indoor and occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  2. Travel to different site locations within the North West region is required.
  3. Occasional flexibility regarding working hours and duties is required off a 40-hour working week.
  4. Competitive salary of up to £36,000.
