Curriculum Manager - Construction and Engineering
Location: London
Salary: £48,000 - £52,000

Morgan Hunt are working with a leading FE College to recruit for a Curriculum Manager - Construction and Engineering.

Reporting to the Assistant Principal, you will be instrumental in leading and inspiring a team to promote positive outcomes, as well as use your expert knowledge to develop the curriculum, facilitating and contributing to improvements in the provision of teaching and learning achievements.

Main responsibilities of the Curriculum Manager - Construction and Engineering:

  • Lead on the operational management across the Construction and Engineering department.
  • Responsible for the effective and consistent operation of the curriculum area including: accurate and timely completion of activities, processes and procedures.
  • Manage and lead on learner recruitment, learner experience, successful achievement of qualifications and progression of learners.
  • Lead and manage the development of the curriculum and its resources.
  • Set and monitor targets for learner participation, retention, achievement and success.
  • Carry out agreed teaching commitment.
  • Participate in the Staff Development Review and Appraisal scheme.
  • Understand and comply with Safeguarding legislation and ensure that best practice is embedded.
  • Responsible for the management of the curriculum team staff.
  • Deputise for the Assistant Principal where required.

The successful Curriculum Manager - Construction and Engineering will be:

  • Educated to a degree level or have an appropriate professional qualification.
  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have experience and specialist knowledge within Construction and Engineering.
  • Have proven evidence of improving the quality of provision.
  • Show an ability to develop and maintain links with education.
  • Have experience and knowledge of leading and coaching staff within an education and training environment.
  • Understand key events and issues facing post-16 education within London.
  • Have experience in developing curriculum.
  • Demonstrate proven ability to establish and monitor a high quality of lesson delivery.
  • Have experience of implementing quality assurance processes.
  • Exhibit proven written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate proven organisation skills and ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Provide evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Show knowledge and commitment to Equality and Diversity.
  • Show knowledge and commitment to Safeguarding and Prevent.
