The salary for this permanent CT/General Radiographer job is £45,000 - £50,000 per annum.
Duties:
- Work autonomously in providing diagnostic imaging services in conjunction with practice standards and high medical ethics at all times, including respecting the patient’s right to privacy and confidentiality.
- Work in accordance with operational and clinic protocols, systems, and standards of the clinics in order to achieve quality, cost, and productivity targets.
- Actively support the technical supervisors, 2ICs, and managers in their roles.
- Consistently utilise skills and multi-tasking techniques to maximise efficiency.
- Regularly review the intranet for relevant updates and announcements.
- Manage all bookings and daily workflow in a manner that is efficient, accurate, and timely.
- Liaise with medical staff to advise of appointment availability for procedures.
- Apply professional knowledge and judgment when performing tasks.
- Work in an area that requires high levels of specialist knowledge and skill.
- Provide feedback to trainees and other staff to improve health outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of professional knowledge and skills as demonstrated by positive impacts on service delivery and measurable improvements in outcomes.
- Keep radiologists apprised of booking alterations throughout the day.
- Communicate with ward staff and orderlies any changes to in-patient appointment times throughout the day.
- Ensure the next day’s list is correct, e.g., time allocation, room allocation, etc.
- Other duties as required, in line with reasonable expectations of the role.
- Work in accordance with systems, policies, and procedures.
- Conform to APHRA’s standards, including commitment towards continuing professional development (CPD).
- Take appropriate action if equipment malfunctions and report the incident.
- Maximise clinic and staff resources to enable imaging of unexpected, urgent, or priority patients to ensure optimum productivity in the clinic.
- Manage daily lists autonomously and seamlessly to allow flexibility for fit-ins of more complex issues/cases as they arise.
Requirements of the CT/General Radiographer:
- Possess sound knowledge of radiographic equipment.
- Be energetic, motivated, and committed in own work, performing the fundamental aspects of radiography to a consistently high standard and in accordance with protocols in a caring and timely manner.
- Adapt technical knowledge to new situations, demonstrating depth of understanding and adaptability.
- Eliminate obstacles and prioritise to achieve results.
- Have an advanced knowledge of pathology and apply this knowledge to daily activities, identifying complementary modalities.
- Bachelor of Science (Medical Imaging) or recognised equivalent.
- Registration with AHPRA and Radiological Council WA.
- CT radiographer requires experience in CT and a strong understanding of CT principles.
- MRI radiographer must have achieved AIR MRI level 1 and 2 accreditation or equivalent.
