CRM Digital Designer x 2 - Permanent

At Costa Coffee, we are what we craft. We’re reimagining coffee experiences in over 50 countries and counting, as a key part of the Coca-Cola System. Whether you get your coffee in a store, from a machine, at home, or on the go – we’ve got you covered.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative CRM Digital Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for adapting and optimising digital campaign assets, building email and push notifications, and quality checking to ensure brand integrity and high-quality design output. You will work closely with CRM and digital marketing teams, agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure that digital assets are tailored to meet platform specifications, performance goals, and user experience (UX) standards.

Our teams make a difference. Whether that’s working on new tech for the perfect pour, helping our teams grow, creating award-winning campaigns, crunching the numbers, or developing the latest exciting menu item; together, we stir up success.

We may be a global brand, but we haven’t forgotten our roots. That’s where the Costa Foundation and our fantastic community agenda come in. Whatever your role, you can help us change lives in coffee-growing communities and help your local community too.

We also want to help you grow in your career through amazing experiences, our apprenticeship scheme, and development programmes. At Costa, you can go beyond the day-to-day.

So, why Costa?

We didn’t become a global coffee brand by sitting back. When you work here, you join a community that values passion, progression, and integrity, with some pretty brilliant perks to sweeten the deal:

  • Own a piece of Costa’s success by becoming a share owner in Coca-Cola with our Share Investment Plan (SIP)
  • A smart pension that saves you money on tax and national insurance, and matches your contributions up to 10%
  • The Costa Financial Support Fund, supporting team members who find themselves in unexpected financial pressure
  • 50% discount in all Costa-owned stores, and 25% off in other participating stores
  • Private medical cover thanks to our Private Healthcare scheme
  • And that’s not all. Explore even more of our perks here: https://bit.ly/costaperks

We’re passionate about being a great place to work, where you can bring your unique self into our mix. We firmly support diversity, equity, and inclusion, and continue to work with our teams to shape the future of our culture and values: Disciplined to Deliver, Passion for Progress, Win with Warmth, Courage to Challenge, and Trusted Team Players.

What you’ll do

Being a CRM Designer is about so much more than bringing our coffee to the world. It’s your chance to stir up real success - which means you’ll be:

  • Building and designing engaging marketing emails using our customer engagement platform Braze
  • Conducting rigorous QC testing of emails, ensuring accurate rendering across devices and email clients, proper functionality of links, and compliance with accessibility standards.
  • Optimizing email performance by applying best practices in layout, design, and content placement.
  • Managing email personalisation and dynamic content within the customer engagement platform
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with email builds and deployment
  • Adapting and resizing digital assets for email, rich push, and In-App
  • Ensuring all assets are in alignment with the brand’s visual identity (VI) guidelines.
  • Familiarising yourself with the unique technical requirements of each digital channel, such as file sizes, aspect ratios, and other specifications for optimal performance.
  • Adapting digital content to ensure it is visually appealing, responsive, and optimised for platform-specific needs, such as loading times, user interactions, and performance
  • Working closely with internal teams, including marketing, agencies, and creative teams, to deliver assets that meet campaign goals and timelines.
  • Staying updated on email marketing trends, tools, and platform updates to continually improve email design strategies and execution.

Who you are

It’s your unique ingredients we’re interested in:

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of digital design and testing tools (e.g. Miro, Figma, UserTesting, Adobe After Effects, Lottie, Adobe Illustrator, Zeplin) and asset preparation for digital channels.
  • Proficiency using Braze or any drag and drop email editor
  • Familiarity with email design principles and an understanding of HTML/CSS for troubleshooting (basic level preferred).
  • Preferable knowledge of marketing automation and lifecycle campaigns.
  • Experience in digital design, ideally within an agency or in-house marketing team. A portfolio of relevant work is required.
  • Understanding of UX/UI: A solid understanding of digital user experience principles and how to design for optimal usability and performance.
  • Branding Knowledge: Ability to adapt designs to maintain brand consistency while ensuring they meet platform requirements
  • Exceptional attention to detail in both design and technical execution, ensuring error-free and high-quality digital assets.
  • Strong ability to communicate with cross-functional teams and incorporate feedback into the final designs.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Hybrid with the ability to work from our Central London location a minimum of 2 days per week.
