Would you like to work for an award-winning charity known for being a great place to work? (Best Companies / Investors in People).
They've launched a new service supporting ex-offenders in the community, helping them rebuild their lives. It's a fantastic approach to rehabilitation, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. For example, there are wellness rooms, a gym, a music studio, pool tables, and even doughnuts and news debates on Wednesdays. It's the kind of place where you could spend an afternoon with a book.
A typical day in this role involves:
- Welcoming participants as they arrive, ensuring all safety checks are completed to keep everything running smoothly.
- Managing bookings and referrals through email, phone, or self-referrals.
- Handling petty cash for travel expenses or small purchases, ensuring everything is accounted for.
- Gathering feedback from participants through surveys or follow-ups to ensure their needs are met.
- Monitoring CCTV and controlling access to restricted areas, ensuring everything stays secure.
- Ordering supplies, like stationery or refreshments, to keep the Hub well-stocked.
- Helping ensure the Hub complies with Health and Safety and other guidelines by checking equipment and making sure things like fire extinguishers and first aid kits are in place.
