Job description

Overview

Do you want to work for a caring organisation that believes in people?

Do you want to make a difference?

As a Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator with Change Grow Live you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator to join our team full-time in Hastings.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting individuals on their recovery journey, working closely with them to rebuild their confidence, skills, and connections within their communities. With this role you’ll be working as part of the Criminal Justice Team based in Hastings, but working across the county in CGL, Probation, Courts and Prisons.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

You’ll have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives.

Candidates with previous police, probation and/or prison vetting clearance are encouraged to apply. However, we welcome all applications, and successful candidates will be required to undergo the relevant vetting process.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Full Time Salary Range: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 (pro rata for part-time hours)

Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2026

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our services, providing personalised and meaningful support to individuals navigating the criminal justice system and their recovery journey.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing tailored support—guiding individuals from their first contact with us through to their recovery
  • Conducting assessments and recovery planning—ensuring that support is responsive to individual needs
  • Facilitating group work and workshops—creating opportunities for peer support and personal development
  • Working in partnership—collaborating with key agencies including prisons, probation, courts, police and other professionals operating within housing, social services, social care and health
  • Safeguarding and risk management—ensuring that all individuals feel safe and supported
  • Team work—being part of a fast-paced team with competing demands

This role is an opportunity to make a real impact, working with people to help them move forward in life with confidence and purpose.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working in substance misuse and/or criminal justice settings
  • Is an excellent communicator—both written and verbal—with strong IT, administrative, organisational and recording skills
  • Has experience facilitating group sessions and working directly with service users
  • Is proactive and self-motivated—able to manage a caseload independently while contributing to a team
  • Works well with others—building positive relationships with both colleagues and external partners in all sectors, including the enforcement agencies
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality, ensuring a safe and respectful service environment
What We Offer You

At Change Grow Live, we recognise that our people are our greatest strength. That’s why we offer:

  • A welcoming and inclusive team environment
  • 25 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays), increasing to 30 days after five years
  • A dedicated ‘Wellness’ hour each week, along with access to our Wellness Hub & Employee Assistance Programme
  • Ongoing training, professional development, and clear career progression pathways
  • Exclusive perks & discounts—including savings on shopping, cinema tickets, holidays, and more
  • A meaningful role where you can make a lasting impact in people’s lives

Please ensure that when completing your application form and supporting statement, you reflect on the details outlined in the job description. This will help us understand how your skills and experiences align with the requirements of the role.

If you require sponsorship, please note that this role is not eligible for a Health and Care Worker visa. You may be eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route but must meet the minimum salary requirements for the role.

The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS check and obtain Police and Ministry Of Justice vetting.
