CRIMINAL DUTY SOLICITOR

EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY TO WORK FOR A GROWING CRIMINAL LAW FIRM.

This expanding Law firm based in Brighton/Hove/Worthing, East Sussex are looking to recruit a Criminal Duty Solicitor to join their expanding team. Candidates will need a pro-active approach and be client focused, with a flexible attitude to their work. The role will include court work and advocacy and advising clients at the police station. You will also be expected to optimise opportunities for developing client relationships and manage your own caseload efficiently as well as prioritising the workload of the support staff.

DUTIES AND TASKS INVOLVED:

1. Being a part of out of hours rota for attending police stations.
2. Supporting in the preparation of crown court when needed.
3. Have previous experience as a Duty Solicitor, preferably at least one year PQE.

The firm is also looking for candidates who, if they haven't already, are interested in obtaining the Higher Rights of Audience accreditation, as this is something the firm would offer as an opportunity once your probationary period has been completed.
