Temporary Crematorium Administration Assistant

Pay Rate: Up to £16.10 per hour PAYE depending on experience

Key Requirements:
  1. Experience of working within a bereavement related service with the ability to demonstrate an empathic manner towards members of the public desirable.
  2. Strong organisational and communication skills.

  4. Knowledge of MS Office Software and reasonable proficiency in IT Skills.

We are seeking a Crematorium Administration Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this important role, you’ll provide crucial administrative support while helping families through difficult times.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Undertake all administrative tasks as required to ensure the services are effective and running smoothly.
  2. Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the City Council policies and procedures, statutory legislation, codes of practice, and the ICCM Charter for the Bereaved.
  3. Book burial, cremations, and memorial services, including the processing of payments.
  4. Undertake basic financial tasks to prepare accounts and income summaries, raise purchase orders.
  5. Responsible for the administration, positioning, and installation in respect of the memorials, memorabilia, and the memorial safety programme.
  6. Carry out minor repairs and maintenance, including cleaning of memorials.
