A great hybrid role has arisen for a Credit Assessment Specialist to join a well-known automotive company with a very supportive and enthusiastic team.

You will help make responsible lending assessments, that will need to be backed up with a thorough rationale and evidence. You will also be working with our fraud tools, recognizing key indicators of potential fraud and financial crime and then investigating them further to identify any risks.

Responsibilities:

1. Using a Scorecard grade-based system, in conjunction with credit reference and fraud data, assess applications for finance.
2. Review customer open banking data in order to ensure they can afford the proposed monthly commitment.
3. Review potential Politically Exposed Persons and Sanctions to ensure legal and regulatory requirements are met around fraud and financial crime.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Recently in possession of a credit assessment mandate to decision balances in excess of 40K.
2. Automotive experience / Experience with depreciating assets.
3. Familiar with FCA regulatory sourcebook CONC.
