Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate level credit risk analyst to join our Credit Risk Management team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in performing credit reviews and approvals for BACB.
This position requires close collaboration with senior management to ensure that our credit risk strategies align with BACB’s overall risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
Key Work Outputs and Accountabilities
Credit Risk Analysis and Assessment
- Conduct thorough credit risk assessments of new and existing clients, including financial statement analysis and credit rating evaluation.
- Develop and maintain credit risk models to predict potential credit losses and enhance decision-making processes.
Credit Framework and Policy
- Collaborate with senior management to design and implement comprehensive credit risk management frameworks and policies.
- Ensure that credit risk policies are in compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
Credit Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor credit risk exposures and report findings to senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Prepare detailed BAU and ad hoc credit risk reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulators.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including other risk teams, finance, and compliance, to support BACB's credit risk objectives.
- Act as a liaison between the credit risk team and senior management, facilitating effective communication and credit decision-making.
Regulatory Compliance
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to proactively adjust credit risk strategies.
Change Management
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of credit risk management.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modelling and risk assessment tools.
- Relevant experience working within banking or financial services
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong exposure to UK Regulatory frameworks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and risk management software.
