Franklin Templeton is seeking an energetic, intellectually curious individual to succeed in a dynamic environment that values diversity and inclusion. Reporting to the Director of Research, Europe, the credit analyst will join the Franklin Templeton Fixed Income Group in London.
Our Corporate Credit team performs independent credit research and makes recommendations to our portfolio managers. As a research analyst, you will be a key member of our global credit team, focused on European high-yield and investment grade bond issuers within several assigned industry sectors. You will work closely with portfolio managers and analysts in Franklin Templeton offices across the globe, sharing investment ideas, industry insights, and market information.
Perform thorough, well-supported and concise fundamental research on assigned European non-financial and non-banking sectors.
Broad focus on European Investment Grade and High Yield issuers.
Conduct independent research by speaking with company management and industry contacts.
Compile data from multiple sources to develop detailed financial models.
Present investment research findings, ideas, and recommendations to portfolio managers.
Discuss and debate fundamental credit views and relative value recommendations.
Regularly interact with fixed income team members across regions.
Extensive experience of credit analysis covering investment-grade and/or high yield non-sectors.
Buy-side, sell-side or rating agency experience preferred.
Ability and willingness to assume coverage of new sectors as team needs evolve.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to build detailed financial models.
Solid English communication skills, written and oral.
Desire to work in a market-driven environment.
Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent, an MBA or CFA is a plus.
