Credit Control Team Leader

About the Role:

As the Credit Control Team Leader, you will oversee our dedicated credit control team, working closely with finance and sales to ensure the efficient management of customer accounts. Your leadership will be key in driving collections, reducing overdue debt, and supporting strong financial health across the organization. This is a unique opportunity to make an impact within a high-growth manufacturing company with an established presence in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and mentor a team of credit controllers to achieve and exceed monthly collection targets.
2. Manage the credit assessment process for new and existing customers, ensuring credit risk is controlled.
3. Drive process improvements to streamline collections and enhance team performance.
4. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve complex billing issues and escalate critical accounts as needed.
5. Provide regular reporting on debtor performance, aging analysis, and cash flow projections.
6. Support the team with hands-on assistance in managing high-value accounts and resolving challenging cases.

About You:

1. Proven experience in credit control within a manufacturing or similar fast-paced environment.
2. Strong leadership skills with a track record of motivating and developing a team.
3. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive process improvements.
4. Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and internal stakeholders.
5. Proficiency in ERP and financial systems, with advanced skills in Excel.
