Coventry (Office Based, Full Time)

Consult Energy are seeking a skilled and motivated Credit Control Manager to lead a collections team, driving performance and ensuring the timely recovery of debt. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a high-performing team, deliver excellent customer service, and achieve collection targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maximise debt recovery while delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
2. Lead and manage the team, ensuring daily and weekly cash collection and debtor day targets are met.
3. Oversee complex and escalated queries, identifying root causes and implementing improvements.
4. Drive aged debt reduction and ensure financial controls are maintained.
5. Allocate workloads, provide regular feedback, and manage performance through 1-2-1s and team meetings.
6. Champion company culture, values, and behaviours, leading by example.
7. Coach, mentor, and develop team members, identifying training needs and opportunities for growth.

Skills & Experience:

1. 2+ years of credit control experience.
2. Proven track record of achieving set targets in a credit control environment.
3. Strong communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
4. Ability to manage workload, resolve conflicts, and propose process improvements.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
6. Knowledge of the gas or electricity industry is desirable but not essential.

Location: Coventry (Office based)

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 + plus incentive bonus
