Job description

We're Pentland Brands; a dynamic, global family business, and proud owners and licensees of many iconic active and footwear brands. Our success is built on teamwork, courage, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

WHAT'S THE MISSION FOR THIS ROLE?

As Creative Director, you will lead a diverse team of creatives, including art directors, designers, and content creators, working closely with team leads and the Director of Content & Creative to build a high-performing department. You'll drive the development of strong, impactful ideas and ensure consistency across all creative outputs. Taking a digital-first, omnichannel approach, you will optimise content for various platforms and oversee the entire creative process, from concept to post-production. Additionally, you'll integrate UX into creative solutions, fostering strong relationships with global teams, external partners, and brand partners. You'll collaborate with digital and D2C teams to deliver consumer-driven content that elevates our brands.

WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?

As our Creative Director you will be responsible for:

  • Creative Excellence:
    • Lead the development of outstanding creative storytelling across all touchpoints, including campaigns and e-commerce imagery, ensuring all work meets the highest standards.
    • Challenge and elevate ideas and strategies to deliver top-tier results across sports, fashion, and lifestyle.
    • Take ownership of briefs, re-shaping them when necessary, while maintaining a brave, conceptual approach to creative work.
    • Leverage social and digital expertise to create communications that align with actual consumer behaviour.
  • Content Factory:
    • Collaborate to build a scalable, efficient content production model that delivers quality work across the consumer journey at speed and value.
    • Oversee the execution of creative work that drives impact in an omnichannel environment, from communication through to conversion.
  • Brand Guardianship:
    • Maintain brand consistency across all channels, ensuring a unified brand presence in every consumer interaction.
    • Advocate for the importance of repetition in establishing brand reputation, and ensure all creative outputs reflect this.
  • Creative Leadership:
    • Foster a culture of creativity and ambition, empowering teams to deliver 'great not good' work.
    • Inspire curiosity and craft within the creative team, ensuring they are motivated, engaged, and aligned with the vision.
    • Work with internal brand teams and external partners to deliver innovative, best-in-class creative solutions.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead and mentor the creative team, providing clear expectations, feedback, and growth opportunities through regular appraisals and learning & development (L&D) initiatives.
    • Ensure effective team resourcing, aligning the right talent with the right projects to optimise performance.
    • Drive team engagement through regular meetings and check-ins, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
WHAT DO I BRING TO THE ROLE?

You just might be our next superstar if you have the following skills and experience:
  • Creative Vision & Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate strategy into innovative, high-quality creative work across multiple platforms.
  • Content Production & Omnichannel Expertise: Experience in building scalable content processes and delivering impactful consumer experiences across digital and physical touchpoints.
