At Safran Seats, we are unique within aerospace, as we interface with both the world's biggest airlines and airframers alike, with the largest seats portfolio of all seats suppliers. One day you could be dealing with one of the world's largest airframers, and the next, some of the biggest airline brands around the world!
In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales.
Apprenticeships are Government funded, work-based training programmes for recruiting full-time people ages 16+ (there is no upper age limit) and providing them with the opportunity to combine ‘on the job' training with a nationally recognised qualification.
The apprenticeships programme, funded through the Welsh Government supports training costs. The employer works with an approved training provider that carries out most of the training, for Safran Seats this is Newport and District Group Training Association (NDGTA).
Depending on the level you come into your apprenticeship at will determine your starting point. If you start on a BTEC L3, your first year will be full time at college from September until July and then you will work onsite and attend college 1 day/week during term time to complete your academic qualification.
During your working time onsite, you will work in specific departments to learn. The departments you will work in are linked to the discipline you have chosen to study.
