A Cover Supervisor is needed in a Mixed Comprehensive Secondary School & Sixth Form in South East London.

This Cover Supervisor role can be part or full time, with short and long term bookings available.

Responsibilities

1. Setting up lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
2. Managing whole class pupil behaviour effectively.
3. Providing organised handovers for other staff members.

Key Attributes

The ideal Cover Supervisor will possess an overall positive attitude, good organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with everyone at the school.

Pay Rate

The rates of pay for this Cover Supervisor position will be between £90 to £120 a day, depending on the qualifications and experience of each applicant.

The School

A 'Good' Mixed Comprehensive School & Sixth Form for pupils aged 11 to 19 years old, located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, founded in 1971, with just under 2000 pupils enrolled.

There are over 80 languages spoken by staff and pupils, and the school features an Olympic legacy sports setup in the gymnasium and dojo, as well as a shared-use sports centre. A new building opened in 2011, providing additional resources and equipment.

The school holds an Artsmark Platinum and 4 PTI Awards. During their last inspection, Ofsted noted that the pupils display good behaviour, are always ready to learn, and are polite, caring of others, and friendly.

A number of notable pupils have attended the school previously, including actors, a dancer, footballers, and a poet.

Requirements

You can apply if you're a recent Graduate or an experienced Cover Supervisor. Applications are also welcome from British trained or overseas trained Cover Supervisors.

All applicants must have the following to be considered for this position:

• Right to work in the UK
• Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
• UK Bachelor's Degree or an overseas equivalent
• Experience as a Cover Supervisor in UK Secondary schools or past experience of working with children/young people aged 11 to 19 years old
