Salary: £102 to 128.42 per day

About Us: We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor with previous experience to join our team and support the delivery of outstanding lessons in the absence of regular teaching staff.

Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of lessons during the absence of the class teacher. You will supervise students across various subjects, following lesson plans and maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students in classrooms during the absence of the class teacher.
• Follow provided lesson plans and ensure students stay on task.
• Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies.
• Provide support to students as needed, including those with additional needs.
• Ensure that students complete assigned work and maintain focus throughout the lesson.
• Report any concerns regarding student behaviour or progress to the relevant teaching staff.
• Liaise with teachers and other staff to ensure the smooth running of the school day.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a school or similar setting is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
• Experience supporting students with additional needs.
