Cover Supervisor - Leeds - £80-£100 per day

Reeson Education is supporting a large mainstream secondary school in Leeds, West Yorkshire, that requires an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team from ASAP.

The Role:

Cover Supervisors are required to manage groups of around 30 students independently and to appropriately deliver the work set to a high standard, answering any questions to the best of their ability that students may have surrounding the tasks set.

You will be expected to:

1. Provide cover for registration
2. Deliver lessons where the normal cover has been left, to a high standard with limited preparation time and on occasion at short notice
3. Provide students with a positive climate for learning, using the gold classroom standards and school's behaviour policies consistently and fairly to effectively manage the behaviour of students
4. Help students to build self-esteem through positive interactions, praise, and encouragement
5. Assist with the development and implementation of SEN support plans

Person Specification:

Specific knowledge, experience, and technical skills:

1. Hold a degree or be an aspiring teacher
2. Interest in and knowledge of autism
3. Experience of managing behaviours of distress
4. Proven ability to solve problems quickly and remain calm
5. Basic level of IT literacy in using Microsoft software e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel
6. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (in English)
