Cover Supervisor - Crawley

Academics is looking for a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a thriving school in Crawley. This role is perfect for those looking to gain classroom experience, whether you're an aspiring teacher or an experienced educator seeking a new challenge.

Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task. You will deliver pre-set work, manage classroom behaviour, and provide support to students as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects.
  2. Maintain classroom control and behaviour management to ensure a productive learning environment.
  3. Support students with their learning and provide guidance where necessary.
  4. Follow school policies and procedures to uphold a positive and structured classroom environment.
  5. Work closely with teachers and school staff to ensure a smooth learning experience for students.
What We're Looking For:
  1. Experience working with young people in a classroom or similar setting (preferred but not essential).
  2. Strong communication, leadership, and behaviour management skills.
  3. A proactive, adaptable, and confident approach.
  4. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (the school is not easily accessible by public transport).
  5. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
