Salary: £93 - £140 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking for a motivated Cover Supervisor to join a fantastic school in Boscombe. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with secondary students, keeping them engaged, and ensuring that lessons run smoothly in the absence of a teacher. If you’re eager to help students stay focused and support their learning, we want to hear from you!

As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining continuity in the classroom when the regular teacher is absent. You'll be responsible for keeping students engaged, ensuring they stay on task, and helping them navigate pre-planned lessons across various subjects.

Your Role as a Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise Classes: Manage the classroom in the absence of a teacher and ensure students stay on task.
• Encourage Student Engagement: Keep students motivated and interested in their learning throughout the day.
• Maintain Classroom Order: Ensure that the classroom remains a respectful, productive space for all students.
• Provide Updates: Share information about student progress and behaviour with the teachers.
• Assist with School Duties: Help with tasks such as break-time supervision when required.

Candidate Expectations:

• Comfortable in managing classrooms and keeping students focused.
• Passionate about supporting young people in their education.
• A strong communicator with good people skills.
• Experience working with young learners is preferred but not essential.
• A relevant degree or qualification is beneficial but not a must.
• Adaptable and confident in delivering pre-planned lessons.
• University students with an interest in pursuing a career in education are encouraged to apply and gain valuable classroom experience.
• An up-to-date CV covering last 10 years with no unexplained gap and enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
