Job description

ABC Teachers is currently seeking Classroom Supervisors to work in SEN Schools in the Birmingham area. We've had an exceptionally busy academic year and anticipate even more activity in the upcoming year. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Classroom Management: Supervise and manage the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher. Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  2. Student Support: Assist students as needed to ensure their educational development.
  3. Policy Adherence: Uphold school policies and procedures to maintain a structured environment.
  4. Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with teaching staff and administration to support the overall educational mission.

About you:

To be considered for the Classroom Supervisors, you will:

  1. Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism, and looked after children.
  2. Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
  3. Have strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
  4. Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
