About the Role:
Are you looking to make a positive impact in education and support students' academic progress? We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our team and help maintain continuity in the classroom when teachers are absent. As a Cover Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in overseeing students, ensuring they stay on task, and supporting their learning in a variety of subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise students during lessons in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring that work is completed on time and to a high standard.
2. Provide classroom management to maintain a safe, productive, and respectful learning environment.
3. Follow lesson plans left by the absent teacher, ensuring continuity of learning for all students.
4. Support students in academic tasks, offering guidance and encouragement where needed.
5. Assist in behaviour management and implement school policies to ensure a positive atmosphere.
6. Liaise with the teaching staff and leadership team to ensure that students are effectively supported during lessons.
7. Maintain accurate records of student behaviour and progress during the cover session.

Qualifications:

1. Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting (although no formal teaching qualification is required).
2. Strong communication and organizational skills.
3. Ability to manage groups of students effectively and implement classroom management strategies.
4. Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward working with young people.
5. A good understanding of school procedures and student well-being.
6. A passion for education and helping students succeed.
