Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Course Leader to assist in the development of our French Language Department in the United Kingdom.

Typical Duties may include:

  1. Contribute effectively towards the development of a French Language department within the company.
  2. Form part of a dedicated foreign language team, developing, delivering, and facilitating training programmes to our face-to-face and online student body.
  3. Develop and deliver programmes suitable for students, including SQA approved courses and commercial courses (bespoke courses within industry).
  4. Contribute effectively to the creation and delivery of modules/curriculum themes, engaging in high-quality learning and teaching (online learning, practical sessions, lectures, and workshops) at all levels up to SCQF 9 (and equivalent in England).
  5. Use and encourage others to use teaching and learning strategies that promote student involvement and advance their independent learning.
  6. Undertake formative and summative assessments, providing high-quality student feedback consistent with our quality assurance procedures and SQA standards.
  7. Contribute effectively to the design and planning of the curriculum, including preparation of own teaching and learning materials and course documentation.
  8. Effectively oversee the welfare, progress, examination, and assessment of students as designated by the Director and Principal.
  9. Enhance the quality of education and provision by ensuring that high standards of teaching and learning are maintained.
  10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks in your teaching areas.
  11. A commitment to Continuous Professional Development is essential to ensure you remain current, and it is expected that the successful applicant will work towards any registration within the UK that is deemed essential or beneficial for your role.
  12. Prepare and deliver online video tutorials and facilitate online forums when appropriate.
  13. Comply with all Company Policies and Practices.
  14. Assess barriers to learning and take this into account in all aspects of the creation of teaching/learning resources and in delivery.
  15. Keep student records and progress reports.
  16. Adhere to all policies relating to students and staff.
  17. Ensure health, safety, and relevant insurance requirements are met and work in line with child protection/vulnerable adult regulations.
  18. Organise and administer tasks in an efficient and effective manner.
  19. Develop and maintain links with cognate disciplines within the Company and the Community.
  20. Carry out any other duties relevant to your area of expertise.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 36 months

Pay: £40,000.00 per year
