Counter Balance Forklift Driver

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role is crucial in maintaining the flow of operations and ensuring that materials are handled safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

1. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas.
2. Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation of all incoming and outgoing materials.
3. Manage inventory using a warehouse management system, ensuring that stock levels are maintained accurately.
4. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues for repair.
5. Handle materials safely, adhering to all safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
6. Assist with heavy lifting as required, ensuring that all items are moved efficiently without damage.
7. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, promoting safety and efficiency within the warehouse.

Skills

1. Proficient in basic maths for inventory management and documentation purposes.
2. Experience with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
3. Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
4. Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily operations.
5. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse setting.
6. Excellent materials handling skills, ensuring safe transport of goods throughout the facility.
7. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred, particularly with forklift operation.

Please note this is a 4 on 4 off position rotating on day and night shift.
