Job Title:

Cost Engineer


Location:

Hinkley Point C Project, Somerset


Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Hinkley Point C project for a Cost Engineer with estimating experience. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the financial management and cost control of the project.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and deliver the Monthly Cost Report.
  2. Manage and process Applications for Payment.
  3. Compile and present the Cost Value Reconciliation (CvR) report.
  4. Generate and maintain the Bookings Report.
  5. Interrogate and analyse project costs.
  6. Develop and update the Weekly Dashboard.
  7. Collaborate with the Change Control Team to support and underpin claims.
  8. Prepare accurate and detailed estimates.

Experience:
  1. Proven experience in an estimator role.
  2. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  3. Familiarity with NEC forms of contract.
  4. Demonstrated ability to present data effectively.

Skills & Attributes:
  1. Excellent problem-solving skills.
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Good IT literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  4. Ability to work effectively in an office environment.
  5. Reactive and adaptable to changing project needs.
