Job description

An amazing opportunity awaits an experienced Cost Controller to join our team at the Fulham Pier.

As Cost Controller you will focus on monitoring and managing the costs related to the operations at Fulham Pier. The primary responsibility is to ensure that all cost control processes are effectively implemented, helping the business meet its financial goals through diligent cost management. This includes maintaining detailed financial records, overseeing cost allocation, and supporting the Finance team in optimising financial performance.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly cost control measures, ensuring accuracy in reporting and compliance with budgets.
  2. Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper allocation and control of costs.
  3. Identify cost-saving opportunities and support the implementation of efficiency measures.
  4. Oversee the financial tracking and reporting of costs for all events, matchdays, and other operational activities.
  5. Ensure accurate cost allocation across different service lines and ensure these costs are in line with the pre-approved budgets.
  6. Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes by providing detailed cost analysis and projections for upcoming events and operational needs.
  7. Review event costing reports and provide insights to improve cost management, profitability, and efficiency.
  8. Conduct audits and reviews of stock, labour, and other operational costs, ensuring cost control measures are strictly adhered to.
  9. Work closely with the operations and procurement teams to monitor stock levels and manage wastage.
  10. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of cost variances, ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary.
  11. Provide detailed cost breakdowns and financial analysis to support the decision-making of the finance and operational teams.
  12. Ensure all cost reporting complies with company policies and financial regulations.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will have experience in cost control or financial analysis, ideally within a hospitality or events setting. Experience in tracking operational costs, stock control, and managing budgets is highly desirable as is a proficiency in Excel and cost management software.

You will also have:

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide clear and actionable financial insights.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  3. The flexibility to work weekends if needed.

We offer a salary of £30,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience) plus excellent benefits that include:
