Cost Accountant

Location: Redditch
Salary: £38,000-£45,000
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Our client, a well-established company is looking for a Cost Accountant to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing cost accounting processes, including standard costing and variance analysis.
2. Overseeing inventory control, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation.
3. Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process with financial analysis.
4. Ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
5. Preparing financial reports and providing insights to senior management.
6. Assisting with external audits and regulatory reporting.
7. Collaborating with operations teams to improve cost efficiency and business performance.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

1. CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification (or working towards) preferred.
2. Strong cost accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
3. Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
4. Knowledge of SOX compliance and financial controls.
5. Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
6. Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
