Cost Accountant

Michael Page are recruiting for an exciting Cost Accountant role based in Bolton.

This role is working for a large manufacturing business who are seeking an ambitious Cost Accountant to join their existing team.

This role will play a key part in the monthly management accounts, bill of materials and stock & costing processes.

Description

Cost Accountant duties include:

1. Assistance with the generation of the monthly management accounts & commentary
2. Assistance with the generation of the monthly rolling forecast & commentary
3. Review & analysis of the accounts & forecast to understand key variances and opportunities for improvement
4. Review & control of the Bill of Material ("BOM") costings of our sophisticated products
5. Review of stock & costing processes & identification of possible savings & efficiencies
6. Interaction with other key departments within the business
7. Other ad hoc projects

Profile

The successful candidate will:

1. Be part qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or qualified by experience
2. Have a proven track record in a similar role
3. Experience within manufacturing would be beneficial
4. Be an excellent written and verbal communicator
5. Be proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel

Job Offer
