Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall operations of the cosmetics manufacturing facility, including production scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
- Oversee the production process including the filling, resealing, packaging and labeling of cosmetic products, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet production targets while minimizing waste and optimizing resource utilization.
- Lead and motivate a team of production staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure a high level of productivity and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality control, and supply chain, to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues or bottlenecks.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols, quality control procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- Monitor production performance metrics, analyze data, and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, optimizing inventory turnover and minimizing stockouts or excess inventory.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in cosmetics manufacturing to drive innovation and competitiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred. Advanced degree or certification in cosmetics manufacturing is a plus.
- Proven experience in cosmetics manufacturing, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Deep understanding of cosmetics manufacturing processes, including filling and packaging.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve production goals.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to cosmetics manufacturing, including FDA regulations, GMP, and ISO standards.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
